Descanso Gardens is a public botanical garden and preserve near Flintridge, CA (north Los Angeles). I was shooting with a 300mm lens. This was taken in the late spring last year, just before I moved.

It's a really good shot. Have you found anything to compare it with living in Huntsville?

Gardens wise or shot wise? There plenty of shots I could compare, but a photo is a moment in time. Anywhere can offer 'the shot.' The trick is seeing it and being able to capture it.

Gardens wise, Huntsville's Botanical Gardens are nice. Still a bit too formal for my tastes. Green Mountain is stunning. I still need to hit the gardens in Nashville and Birmingham.
