Recommending listening/viewing

Emilie Autumn is nothing less than remarkable. She's been performing at the high end of the rock, alt, indie and steam genres since she was 16. Her performance style is playful, sensual and so energetic it's scary. Sorry but this will auto-play when it loads

Ahhh Emilie Autumn haha~
I'm a such a toss up with her, I really really am.
At one hand, her skills at playing are absolutely fantastic- I love love love her instrumental songs. Her voice is great too I love songs like, in the video, the art of suicide...
but songs like Opheliac make me cringe XD
It was the first song I ever heard, and at the 'screaming' bit I stopped and didn't listen for ages.

Some of the things I just dislike.
A lot of it is fantastic though : D

And sad sad sad XD
My friend got two VIP back stage tickets to one of her concerts, signing, free book, book reading, etc.... and invited me- I cant go! D:

Haha, ah well.
Why am I ranting here? XD

Hiiiiii : D
Back on a regular-ish schedule now! :3

I know that a lot of folks really liked Emilie's "Enchant" phase more than her current Opheliac era sound. The current stuff is angier and less melodic, but is much higher energy.

Ranting, no not ranting. Discussing.

Can you please put it behind a cut?

I can do that. Don't know if it will stop the auto play but we'll see.

Emilie will be performing Oct 16th @ the Masquerade in Atl. It should be an interesting show.

I know. I'm thinking about whether I can go or not. My son's last game of the soccer season is that day too. I think he'd be a bit upset with me.

This is merely a preview of Emilie's upcoming PodCast show. Emilie is a violinist with distinctly un-classical tendencies. She plays alternative, folk, gothic and steampunk. Her live shows are part burlesque, part sideshow and part crowd participation rowdiness. She's in a phase of her artistic career that's best described as angry goth.
