Model Photography - Twisted Doll

Last model I drove down to Gulfport, MS to make good on a promise. For almost 10 months, Twisted Doll (http://www.modelmayhem.com/234640) and I have been trying to arrange a photoshoot. I used some of the frequent stay points I'd accumulated from this spring and summer's travels and got a free room for two nights at one of my favorite hotels. Doll is a fun model to work with and for her, I believe this was a learning experience and multiple levels. I don't believe she's ever been directed in the manner that I did.

These are shots from our first set, Friday at sunset on the beach.

Love the shots/poses/setting. She's a cute girl, but the makeup does absolutely nothing for her. Not sure if the intent was a smokey-smudgey eye, but it's too dark and in the shots from below or to the side it looks like she's got a black eye.

We're going to be working on the make-up and hair situation the next time we shoot. She's a hobbist when it comes to modeling and doesn't have extensive make-up or make-up experience.
