After all those photos, a real post to follow up a week and a half of relative silence. This was an interesting week and a half in many respects. For once I was able to relax for a couple days, but I’ve been down sick with a cold on and off for several days now.

Friday
Photoshoot with Amanda J
I took a vacation day and headed to Birmingham to do a multi-set shoot with the amazing Amanda Jada. She’s fun to work with, comfortable with her figure and takes direction extremely well. The shots were done with mature themes (artistic nudes and implied nudes in silhouette). I really had wanted Murder Doll to join us for make-up support but she had a death in the family. The content of the shoot came out remarkably well.

While we were at the shoot, Tammy called me about her treatment options from the back specialist. She learned about treatment options that didn’t include surgery. Pain management and steroid injections to reduce the impact on the damaged area is what they recommended. She’s not thrilled about the pain management plan, but it’s a start.

the rest of the story.. )

Well the last 24 hours has been a kick in the arse. Since the begining is where things are best to start..

1. We need to again find a home for Harrison (the American Bulldog). [livejournal.com profile] ryokara had to return him to us yesterday. She was having the same issues as we did involving her landlord. They wouldn't permit her to have a dog either. I have to compliment her and Vann. They trained him more and he's a bit better behaved now. He's still adorable but we still can't keep him. What's worse is the folks who had been interested have either fallen off the radar or changed their minds. I'm at a loss. Help?

2. The kids and I went to the Botanical Gardens again today. While that was a good thing, dropping my 28-200 zoom lens and breaking it wasn't. OK, it isn't entirely broken but it's no longer 100%. The zoom gearing inside the lens is not working. I can still pull it out to zoom manually and the auto-focus is still working, but it's not really up to on-the-fly shooting.

3. My shoot in Biloxi, MS is postponed. The model has been out of touch for a while and we couldn't get any planning done. Much as I wanted to go down there, without the contact info and planning it would be a wasted trip. Maybe we'll try again in the near future, but for now, my weekend is mine.

We sent Harrison off with "Ryokara" tonight. I think that it's going to work out but if it doesn't we'll happily take him back. Panda sulked a bit after Harrison left.

Alright folks, much as I hate to say it, we need to find a permanent home for the 5 month old puppy we took in. "Harrison" is a very loving, very energetic bull terrier. We took him in with the intention to keep him at best or foster/care for him at the least. We've run into several problems in keeping him that aren't his fault.

1. Our husky isn't getting along with Harrison. How not getting along? Panda is normally very loving and friendly to everyone and surprisingly everything - except Harrison.

2. Harrison is just too big and rough with our youngest child. He's knocked the little boy down several times and tried to play rough. He doesn't realize the boy isn't a puppy.

3. Tammy just started a new job which means now niether of us are home enough to play with/train him.

4. We broached the idea of another pet in the property and the landlord won't allow it.

We need to get him into a new home ASAP. Anyone game or have suggestions for rescues that might help? We took him on as a foster animal and had the highest hopes of providing him a good home. Our best intentions aren't enough.

We just started a new adventure. We've adopted/fostered a 5 month old American bulldog (sorta). He's quite the character and very loving. Now our husky has a playmate.
