I actually bought my father "The Song Of The South" on DVD from a specialty shop this past winter holiday (it's his favorite movie). It took me a long time to track it down, and make sure it was a decent copy not one of those DVD's from a cheap VHS copy.
I can say that when we went to watch it we had a couple of folks over (both white) who were all up in arms about it, but the middle-aged black man was excited to see it, and said he really enjoyed it. I've come to believe that PCness is more about a persons personality than respecting other people.
