jjmaccrimmonI found out that the Minolta Z5 I've been drooling over, that was released only this past February, and that was my primary choice to purchase - has been DISCONTINUED! Believe it or not, they've already come out with a "Z6" (6 megapixel) model. The good thing is the price is dropping like a rock. The bad thing is the availability is falling off fast too.
This leaves me faced with a simple decision. Spend $350 or so on an obsolete camera which fills my needs, or perhaps consider a slightly more expensive digital SLR which is closer to what I was budgeting originally (though a bit more expensive) and is expandable.
