After a wild weekend and (so far) a chaotic week, I finally can offer the final set of pictures from the farm/garage complex in West Lancaster. These shots were done on 27 Aug 05 by my daughter and I.

By JJ
After carefully picking our way through the sage brush, thorns and semi-buried debris, we made our way to the open bay garage building. With the exception of what appeared to be a oil change pit, there was little if any debris inside. Despite our best efforts, neither of our pictures showing the bay came out well. We did get a few tight shots.

Next to the garage bays was what possibly had been a machine shop. In contrast to the previous area, the floor was thick of detritus and debris. This building also showed signs of substantial wear and tear.

Ran out of gas
The “farm house” in this complex wasn’t really. It was laid out as a business office, with large waiting room, manager’s private office (no longer private due to damage) and multiple entrances. In the center of the rubble strewn floor, laid a phone book dating to 1997. Wallboard was down in huge chunks from many walls light peeked in through the walls and ceiling.

Outside the “office” building – JJ

As we drove off, not more than a ½ mile down the road, we saw this display of wit and whimsy. The pole was 15 feet (3 meters) tall. Homeward bound

*grin*
